此作品为中国古代伟大的医学家华佗。华佗精通各科，尤擅外科，发明“麻沸散”、“五禽戏”。深受后世历届医界敬仰，是中国古代医学的代表人物之一。作品表现即华佗手提药械箱准备外出行医的情形。此作品是为石家庄市政府创作的公共雕塑稿，并以此稿放大置于石家庄市药博园区。

Yu Huanxin is associate professor and director of the Sculpture Department of the College of Art and Design at HNU and supervisor of postgraduates.

This artifact portrays Hua Tuo, a great doctor in ancient China. Hua Tuo, one of the representatives of the ancient Chinese medical world, was proficient in all subjects, especially surgery. He invented “anesthesia powder” and the “five animal exercises,” highly respected for generations. The artifact shows Hua Tuo, ready to go out to practice medicine with his portable medical kit. The artifact is a draft made as a public sculpture for the Shijiazhuang municipal government. Its enlarged version will be placed in the Shijiazhuang Medicine Expo Garden.
