我的学术研究重点是探讨设计与市场的作用关系,以及文化对设计的影响力。大量设计作品都是基于上述两个出发点展开,主要是包装设计。为企业创造巨大经济效益和良好社会影响,从1986年至今获得“PDC”“ CLIO” “WPO” “ MOBIUS” “中国之星”等国际设计大赛金奖几十项,出版相关设计专著五部和论文发表数十篇。

创作自叙

陈老师的作品注重中国传统艺术与现代文化的有效结合,在关注作品艺术性的同时,也兼顾其背后的经济价值。以水井坊作品为例,水井坊包装设计从传统文化出发,以“金、木、水、火、土”为创意概念,将“前店后坊”、“台基”、“ 鼻烟壶”等视觉心像转化为视觉语言,成功塑造出有浓厚中国文化,又创造出巨大经济效益的包装设计。

The focus of Chen’s academic research is on the study of the relationship between design and marketing, as well as cultural influences on design, which is the basis of most of his works. His works are mainly about packaging design. From 1986 to the present, Chen has received dozens of gold medals in numerous international design competitions, such as PDC, CLIO, WPO, MOBIUS, and China Star. He has published 5 books and dozens of articles.

Artist Statement

Chen pays attention to the combination of traditional Chinese arts and modern culture. He focuses on the artistry but also takes into account the economic value of his design. The packaging design of Swellfun, as an example, is based on the traditional concept of “metal, wood, water, fire, and earth” while embracing creative concepts as “front shop and back alleys,” “stylobate,” and “snuff bottle.” Such a combination successfully injects Chinese cultural style and taste into his packaging design to create enormous economic benefits.
